About our Panerai service
Panerai watches unite Italian naval heritage with the precision of Swiss watchmaking. The distinctive Luminor crown-protecting bridge, the large cases, the sandwich dials and the in-house P. calibres all require specialist expertise. In our workshop our experienced watchmakers service every Luminor, Radiomir and Submersible to the manufacturer's specifications, with high-quality parts.
Common faults & characteristics
- The Luminor's crown-protecting lever mechanism can loosen over time, putting water resistance at risk.
- The large cases' gaskets are exposed to increased wear during diving and sports use.
- The P. calibres' long power reserve, up to 3 days, requires careful maintenance of the mainspring assembly.
- The luminous compound (Luminova) in the sandwich dials may need restoration over time.
- The thick leather and rubber straps, and the screw-fixed strap bars, require regular checking.
